Estimating parameters for a novel epidemic model using sequence data of virus genome

Our research is to prepare vaccines in ahead, by integrating mathematical epidemiology of infectious diseases and population genetics. From the sequence data of viral genome, we developed methods to estimate parameters for infectious disease modeling. Genetic mutation, infection and immune of a virus is constructed as a mathematical model, and a real-time estimation of epidemics of influenza and also mutation prediction are conducted. We aim to precisely estimate the genetic sequence of the upcoming epidemic and the scale of the epidemic.
